Update on PNP Mission From 2016

It’s kind of hard to tell from the photos, but Willow came to us just after weaning her litter.  She was way underweight at #40, was food assertive, and had given all she had to give to her litter.  Also fighting heartworm, we began the process of getting her 100% healthy.

Now, 2 years later, she’s totally healthy having just passed her annual exam.  She has been through an 8-week training program.  As she is still a bit assertive around new dogs she meets, we are putting her through 1 more association training.  She’s now a very content 57 pounds, has a head up – tail up prance that would fit at Westminster, and loves to nap stretched across my wife in the recliner.  She is warm, loving, attentive, easy to train and wants to please.  Doesn’t get any better than that.

We had our concerns at first, she challenged our 8-year old Border Collie and was very protective of both food and toys.  But love, gentle-consistent discipline and training have yielded a stunningly beautiful and loving member of our forever family.  I just took the photo with Willow napping here with me on the sofa.  SWEET!

God Bless you and all that brought Willow to our home.
