message states sent but is only showing in out box

Hi, I have 2 messages that state sent when I hit the Submit button, but are showing in the Outbox. Please advise. Messages are a bit urgent. Thank you.

Private messages stay in your Outbox until the addressee reads them. If they are in your Outbox, you sent them successfully but the addressee has not read them yet.

You can also email members who have chosen to accept email. If they accept email, there will be a link to click in their Profile. There will also be a little "envelope" icon you can click on the righthand side of any message they post.
