Not getting emails

I reset the profile to 300 miles,is there something else I need to do to start receiving local request emails?

I don't believe that the forum sends emails for animals "within a certain vicinity". You simply have to keep checking the forum and/or the transport map and see if there are any requests in your area. To my understanding, the "Dist. Willing to Fly" is only for others to tell where you're willing to fly (as well as put your "available distance to fly" as a layer on the Volunteer Map, where if someone clicks on your username, it shows a circle over where you're willing to fly). Not sure though, and I could absolutely be wrong.
