How do I block a user from spamming my Inbox?

Post by Lou » Fri Apr 08, 2022 12:54 am

Since our Inbox capacity is very limited (to 1980s standards), my Inbox gets clogged and filled up every month or two by spam messages.
Is there a way to block a specific user from sending me PMs?
I tried "Add foe" but that didn't do it. That is supposedly only for hiding user's posts.
I would appreciate help.
Thank you

Don't know if you can block someone. Googled it and seems there was some plugin about 8 years ago for the forum software that did it, unsure if it will work with the newer versions...

For now I just bumped up the inbox limt to 500 from 100.. unsure why it defaults to so low..

Thank you for the increased Inbox size, Mike.
I assume the default limit was reasonable when the SW was initially released but with time passing, desires for limits change.

Also, I just noticed this morning in my Inbox that there was a Rules folder.
It turns out that yes, one can create different rules, including "Delete + If Sender + Is Foe". (one can also name a user directly etc)
That was a great find. I will need to test it out and report back.
