From Los Angeles area to Seattle/Silverdale, WA areas

Post by tnrnow » Mon Jan 06, 2020 2:51 pm

Hello, and Happy New Year!

Our rescued, homeless cats finally have their second chances for an indoor life up in Washington state. I understand flights are usually between 200-300 miles, and Google map estimated Seattle area to be 1,200 miles from the greater LA area.

Is it possible for cats to connect to the next pilot(s) without the plan for overnighting, assuming schedule, weather, factors are in favor?

Please advise on common connections, practices, and what to expect. Thank you!

Regards,
Lesley

Hi & welcome -
Usually no. You will need to coordinate fosters along the way to ensure inclement weather, typical plane problems, cancelations are all addressed. You might find some pilots who could keep an animal overnight to meet someone the next day, but usually I'm going to go with no on that.
