Putting together flight legs

Post by JWatson » Tue Mar 17, 2020 7:20 am

When a pilot offers to do one leg of a flight, is it best to just update the headline of the post indicating that or should I write a new post? I want to make sure pilots in the new zip code see the leg needed.
For example, if I posted from Savannah to Manassas and someone offers to fly from Savannah to Raleigh so now I have to find a pilot for the second leg from Raleigh to Manassas. Is it better to update the original post or post a new one? TIA!

The pilots along the route are already notified.. So for something that short, I would say no, as they're already aware of the trip and can subscribe/watch it already.
If it is a really long flight, ie > 600-700 miles it might be worth it to make a new one.

Whatever you do - always make sure you provide links on both the original thread and new one so people can connect the dots of which trip is part of another.
