Help with a transport request

Post by Tatteredpaws » Tue Nov 23, 2021 4:12 pm

I have been approached by one of the large national volunteer transport groups, to assist in getting a partial or entire flight from sierra vista, az to Madawaska, ME. It is for 2 larger dogs of 90 and 70 pounds. I am thinking that it will take 2 different flight days to accomodate both dogs. The owner had to leave an abuse situation and couldn't take the dogs. She is now on her feet and hopes to be reunited with her pups. I am unsure how to do a request since the dogs are not under our rescue,

Someone will need to coordinate it and work on both ends. So even if not a rescue, someone needs to plan/get them there/health/etc.

That said, AZ to ME is probably too far for most successful trips here.. You might investigate commercial or ground transport.
