Transport
HI! I am brand new here. I am with a rescue on Long Island NY. We bring pups over from Puerto Rico, usually JFK american airlines. Summer is very difficult as they cannot fly if over 80 degrees in Puerto Rico. Just had 6 pups flight canceled due to weather being too hot. Is this something the pilots do here? Puerto Rico to Long Island?

Re: Transport
These are general aviation pilots with smaller planes than commercial airlines. They only fly 200-300nm on average and don’t fly over water. So no, there are no flights from Puerto Rico.

Re: Transport
Depending upon how big the dogs are, they could ride in the cabin. I have transported on American Airlines cross country numerous times in the summer months. If they are legit rescues, we can take them in the cabin for free.
