Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue Plus PnP Equals Success

Pilots N Paws pilot Josh Gill saved the day. We were in a pickle with having to move a dog very quickly. We are so grateful he was able and willing to help us.

Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue

It often feels in rescue that things need to happen right away which is always a challenge for a volunteer based organization like CBRR&R. We however are fortunate that “when push comes to shove” we have some of the most loyal and dedicated long time volunteers that bend over backwards to help us and more importantly help the dogs in need.

We moved deaf Abbey from Mesa AZ to her foster home in Las Vegas NV. This was all made possible thanks to Pilots N Paws pilot (who previously adopted a chessie from CBRR&R) Josh Gill. He made this miracle happen with just 1 day notice.

Thank you to the fabulous Ursula Rethman who agreed to foster Abbey even though she is still nursing a broken heart after losing Bonnie and Clyde (bonded pair she adopted from CBRR&R) so close together.

Thank you Jessica Sutton for taking the lead on intake and continuing to take the lead on the process to find Abbey a forever home. Thank you to Ursula’s mom and her husband Robert for picking Abbey up at the airport in Nevada while Ursula was at work. Finally, thank you to Michelle Moebius for jumping in at the last minute to get all the required paperwork completed and submitted. It certainly takes a village…

Thanks for sharing these stories and pictures of these fur babies! I enjoyed the stories and pics so much–makes me so happy to see these babies get to their forever homes! This organization is wonderful; keep up the great work! I know the fur babies and owners appreciate your roles in transporting the fur babies to their permanent homes.
